What are External Scholarships? How can ESURC help you?

The External Scholarships and Undergraduate Research Center helps students find and apply for merit-based external scholarships and awards. This funding is not directly applied towards 香港六合彩资料 tuition, but rather, is funding typically for research programs and specified degree programs and career paths. The funds awarded support these research programs or contribute to graduate or professional school pursuits.

(Internal scholarships refer to scholarships that go directly toward 香港六合彩资料 tuition. Internal scholarships are typically handled by the financial aid office. The Financial Aid office is located in the admissions building and can be reached at finaid@binghamton.edu.)

Our office maintains a table of external scholarships with internal deadlines (if applicable), the approximate annual national deadline, and assigned advisor (see the "Prestigious National Scholarships and Application Information" tab). We maintain a list of external scholarship and award databases that contains opportunities for both undergraduate and graduate students and, along with scholarships, includes fellowships, grants, research and internship opportunities, essay contests, and more.

We are here to help you navigate the world of fellowships and awards. Our Research and Scholarship Advisors are available to meet with you daily during scheduled walk-in and appointment hours. We adhere to the for advisors, students, institutions, and foundations. Our advising team will help guide you through the application process, start to finish.

The provides advising for unrepresented students that is offered by alumni of competitive scholarship. Their webpage provides resources and the opportunity to be paired with a mentor.

While there are no universal prohibitions against the use of AI tools or ChatGPT by fellowship organizations, students who use these tools are unlikely to be successful because the scholarships ask for submitted applications to include personal narratives in your voice and some fellowships prohibit their use altogether. To achieve these narratives requires undergoing a writing process in which applicants deeply reflect and their past, present, and future and engage in self-discovery along the way. Such efforts are evident to application reviewers.
