According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 1 in 5 adults will experience a mental illness each year. Based on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) supervisors and managers need to know how to respond to accommodation requests and how to interact with employees if a disability is disclosed (or not disclosed).
