4. Create a LinkedIn account

  • Marketing yourself is important! 
  • We also recommend changing other social media accounts to private. 

5. Create a professional e-mail account: 

  • Use your first and last name for your email. Example: Jane.Smith@gmail.com
  • Update your voicemail to include your full name. Example: "Hello, this is Jane Smith, I can't come to the phone right now, please leave a message." 

Tips and Tricks for applying

  • Use a plain background if interviewing on Zoom
  • Research the potential employer to show your interest
  • If you are expecting a call, answer your phone with your full name "hello, this is Jane Smith" 
  • Prepare multiple questions to ask during your interview. The interviewer may answer some of them during the interview, be prepared with more questions

  • Guthrie Nursing Scholars

    The Guthrie Nursing Scholars program, eligible nursing students may receive up to $65,000 toward their educational loans. After graduation, selected and approved Nursing Scholars will transition into a full-time nursing role within their approved Guthrie Clinic hospital location with an employment commitment of 2-3 years.

  • Community Mental Health Loan Repayment Program: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners

    For licensed programs, the OMH CMHLRP is awarding State Aid grants for loan repayment for both eligible existing or newly hired psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and psychiatric physician assistants in designated community mental health settings throughout New York State as follows:

    For psychiatric nurse practitioners, the OMH CMHLRP provides up to $30,000 in loan repayment over a three-year period.

    Providers of licensed community mental health programs in one of the two below specified program categories may apply on behalf of eligible staff:

    • Inpatient/CPEP: Licensed providers of Article 28 hospital inpatient psychiatric units, Article 31 freestanding inpatient hospital programs, Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Programs (CPEPs), and Residential Treatment Facility - Children & Youth.
    • Outpatient: Licensed providers of Article 31 outpatient programs including Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams, Continuing Day Treatment (CDT), Children鈥檚 Day Treatment, Partial Hospitalization (PH), Personalized Recover Oriented Services (PROS), Mental Health Outpatient Treatment and Rehabilitative Services (MHOTRS) and Crisis Stabilization Centers (Intensive & Supportive) or licensed providers of crisis residence programs including Children鈥檚 Crisis Residence, Intensive Crisis Residence, and Residential Crisis Support.

  • LYCEUM Teaching Grant Available to Graduate Students

    The 香港六合彩资料 Department of Teaching, Learning, and Educational Leadership鈥檚 Lyceum Program is pleased to offer its 10th annual grant for graduate students in any discipline who are willing to teach Lyceum members a course in their area of expertise. The course should be four 2-hour classes (eight hours of instruction total) in the Winter or Spring 2025 semester, with flexibility in the time and dates. The course should appeal to a well-educated lay audience. Typically, between 15 and 50 members will enroll in each course. There is no testing or grading. Instructors should anticipate audience engagement. The class will be in a hybrid format. Lyceum will provide all technical support; the graduate student need only focus on teaching.

    They are looking for applications on a wide variety of topics. They are particularly encouraging proposals related to cross-cultural communications, international relations, or access to education for underrepresented students, though proposals on any area of interest are welcome. The amount of the grant is $1000 for a four-session class.

    Lyceum is 香港六合彩资料鈥檚 educational program for adults aged 50 and over, who wish to take university-level courses for the intellectual challenge and personal development.  The non-profit organization has been operating through 香港六合彩资料 for 33 years, and is run entirely by its membership. Most courses are taught by retired faculty and other experts who volunteer their time.
