Fine Arts Building
Homelands: Contemporary Haudenosaunee Art Across New York unites multigenerational
Haudenosaunee artists and knowledge holders who center their historical relationship
and reciprocity to the land, air, and waters across New York state. Working through
diverse practices including photography, painting, sculpture, basketry, beadwork and
documentary, the landscape is not a backdrop, but integral to Haudenosaunee culture
and lived experience, which is woven into the work. The exhibition serves as a visual
form of Indigenous knowledge sharing. It reclaims space and history through art, inviting
visitors to reconnect with the land beneath their feet. Free and open to the public.

Jim Ojala, MA '71, PhD '74, shares an insider鈥檚 insights into the back story of Daniel
James Brown鈥檚 runaway 2013 bestseller, The Boys in the Boat, and details the ensuing decade-long struggle to bring it to the silver screen. Ojala
took his first stroke in a racing shell sitting in Joe Rantz鈥檚 #7 seat in the original
Husky Clipper and was later was coached by George Pocock. He personally knew many
of the major players in the book and collaborated with Pocock鈥檚 son, Stan, in the
writing and publication of his lavish memoir, "Way Enough!" Recollections of a Life in Rowing.

This event is open to alumni working in broadcasting, print media and related fields,
as well as students interested in pursuing careers in media. Artificial intelligence
(AI) is impacting the content we create and consume, and has even greater potential
to do so in the future. Alumni and faculty speakers will discuss how AI is affecting
writers, editors and social media managers. In addition, panelists will cover legal
and business considerations as well as what AI means for those pursuing media careers.
An open networking session will follow the panel discussion. Alumni and students of

Fourth Annual Wenzel Memorial 5K
West Gym
This event, in memory of Gregg Wenzel 鈥91, will consist of a 5K run/walk around campus.
The 5K is open to all. Wenzel was a triathlete and former student-athlete at 香港六合彩资料
who competed on the men鈥檚 varsity swimming and diving team. He was killed in a car
accident in July 2003 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he was working as a CIA director
of operations. Race check-in and on-site registration will take place at the West
Gym. The run/walk will start and end in front of the Gregg Wenzel Memorial statue
on Bearcat Boulevard. Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in
separate age categories. Race-day registration at the West Gym will start at 7:45
a.m. The entry fee is $10 for students and $20 for all others. Entrants must be 13

side where no experience is necessary. We'll provide a short lesson to help you learn
how to play and hit the ball properly (no equipment needed). Or, you can play on the
"competitive" side with a tournament-style elimination to earn the winning team the
annual SOM paddle trophy. No partner is needed -- you can be paired on the day of
the event with other alumni, students and/or university personnel. Spectators are
