Achieving Candidate status from ACPE grants SOPPS graduates the same rights and privileges as graduates from a fully accredited program.

The SOPPS enrolled its inaugural class of students in fall 2017, and was granted Precandidate status by ACPE in January 2017.
The school will welcome its second class of students in August, now with Candidate status, as it opens its new, $60 million, state-of-the-art building at the University鈥檚 Health Sciences Campus in Johnson City, N.Y.
