Background

Timothea Vo joined Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê×ÊÁÏ in September 2024 as an assistant professor in the Division of Nursing at Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

She previously received postdoctoral training in advanced sleep and circadian rhythms at Northeastern University (primary mentor: Lichuan Ye). 

Her research interest is how cultural health-related practices, sleep and circadian rhythms, in the context of maternal-infant dyads and family relationships, shape trajectories of glucose metabolism, homeostasis and disease. 

Vo completed her PhD in nursing at the University of Connecticut, where she received rigorous training in qualitative research methodologies (primary mentor: Cheryl Beck). 

Her long-term career goal is to apply a social rhythm framework to nursing research by focusing the role of sleep and circadian rhythms on glycemic control during pregnancy.
